Adventure and fine dining.......we've got it covered
GSUP are delighted to be teaming up with Roc Salt in offering a joint experience of SUPing, or a beach walk, followed by a wonderful meal with Florin and his team. Here's the skinny.
Grande Harve, is not only rich in history, but offers one of the best locations in Guernsey to SUP, with a fantastic variety of locations and experiences. GSUP can offer either it's famous Ready to Ride lessons, taster sessions, or a water based guided tour (that we refer to as a Seafari) for the more experienced SUPer. For the SeaFari's then we welcome kayakers and we also you can Bring Your Own (BYO) kit.
After hundreds of hours on the water, and comprehensive research, we can now also offer walking tours of the Bay passing on our knowledge about the sea, the history of the Bay, ship wrecks, reefs, the Occupation and what has happened in the Bay. We'll also cover fascinating facts about Guernsey life, birds, shellfish, seaweed and plants and their historic uses. We'll also cover seafaring history with knots, know-how, tides and weather. A comfortable number is 12 people, but we can take more if required.
Whether its a water based trip, or a walking tour, then for a minimum booking of 6 people GSUP and Roc Salt will offer a 10% of both the GSUP cost and the meal and drinks at Roc Salt. Bookings should be direct with GSUP and can either be during lunchtime or evening Tuesday to Thursday (the SUP or walk can be before or after lunch) or Friday and Saturday lunch time (all before lunch).
The minimum age for water based sessions is 14 years old, and SUP is always weather (wind) dependant. We put safety and enjoyment, before revenue. We can hire out all the kit required for your SUP adventure, and now we can also include kayaks for the Seafari's.
For the walking tours, these are open to everyone and we welcome families to come and find out more about this wonderful part of the Island. We'll be walking for about 2 1/2 miles so you need to be mobile, plus most of the time we will be on the beach so you'll need to dress accordingly. These tours are not weather dependant, but the tides will determine how much time we can stay on the beach.
Phew.....right its time to relax, grab a cold (or maybe warm) drink and let the Roc Salt crew look after you.
We've been using Roc Salt for many years, so we can highly recommend them for a warm welcome, great service and a comprehensive food and drinks menu. Everything you need to know is on their website or their Facebook page - www.rocsalt.gg
Leave everything to us. We'll look after you.
